I don't understand why owners of other cars feel the need to come into the Viper forum and boast about their cars. Can someone please explain to me why they do it?
As many of you know, I am an automotive enthusiast of diverse nature. I love the automobile for what it is. Each car having its own strengths that entice my curiosities and ultimately make me want to own a sea of cars. I do not come to this board often because of the typical posts that I see from other owners, be it Corvette, Supra, Camaro etc etc. It is just plain irritating. I bought my Viper GTS for its well balance of performance and it outrageous appeal. It suits my needs just fine for that reason. Yes, you have heard me say it before, I have a 94 Camaro that can smoke my Viper any day of the week on the 1/4 mile track. Do I go into other forums like this and try to impress everyone? NO!!!!!! I don't see the point. Maybe I am old enough to know the difference. If I only wanted to go fast, I would have sank $75k into a race car and would be running in the 7 second 1/4 mile range. That is not why I bought it. Now, maybe these youngsters feel inferior or maybe they feel better to tell us their Supra or Mustang will run a 10 second 1/4 mile. Who cares? Go to your forum and have fun there.
I personally use the Mopar Mailing list to talk about my Cuda.
I use the FWD list to talk about my 4 cyl Dodge Turbo car.
I go to many F-body forums to talk about my 94 and 69 Camaros.
I go to the Syclone/Typhoon mailing forums and use their mailing lists to talk about SyTys.
The list goes on.
Why do these other so called car enthusiasts feel the need to come in here and try to bash our Vipers? I just don't understand it. Just stay on your board and we will stay on ours. Geesh.
Sorry for the negative attitude folks. It is just getting to me.
I will climb down off my soap box now.
Thanks for listening.
