the cooling relay went bad a month ago or so. after the dealer replaced it the car runs a bit hot. it was about straight up at about 190. now it normally stays to the right of that and under load half way to the red. is that what u all are seeing? i took it to the dealer cause it has never done that before, they said of course that it's normal. what are ur experiences?

thanks,
chan

its a 2001. never had any problems until the fan relay switch went bad and the temp got to 250. i shut it down and had it towed to the dealer. maybe it damaged the water pump and/or the thermostat?? it's killin me, i dont even feel like driving the car.

I doubt that the relay, water pump, or thermostat could have been damaged. I do think it's possible that they got air in the system trying to diagnose the problem. I would burp the system first.
