CCV plastic barb fell through grommet--is that a problem?

The little plastic barb between the CCV grommet (the one on top of the block) and the hose just slipped right down. I removed the grommet and tried to retrieve the plastic piece, but it had gone down too far. What are the effects of this happening? Will it damage anything in the crank case?

Hopefully it made it all the way down to the oil pan. You need to pull the pan and check it. If' its not there check the windage tray. That NEEDS to come out.
