I ran a cd changer cable for my stock alpine (94 rt/10) and remember reading there is a certain alpine changer which will work with this. Does anyone know the model #? Thanks, Andy

I bought mine on ebay. They pop up from time to time. You really want to get the adapter. It allows you to use the stock head unit controls and does not screw around with an FM Modulator

Andy if you get the CHA-S634 along with the M-bus to Ai-NET cable and the Alpine adapter part # 4913, you can play MP3s on your factory deck.

Just to further confuse the issue: the CD changer I put on my '95 RT/10 was an Alpine "CHM-S601" (which I bought and installed in November of 1997). However, the factory head unit has the sound input as RCA jacks, while all of the Alpine changers have the sound input in the DIN cable. So, I had to cut the cable going to the changer and put a couple of RCA plugs on it.

For what its worth....

A couple years later, I got rid of the changer (and recovered precious trunk space), and replaced the head unit with an Alpine CDA7897 CD/MP3 (and AM/FM/etc) head unit, which also automatically hides the faceplate when the unit is off - looks like a removable faceplate unit with the faceplate removed; ideal for an RT that I would park many places unattended. And, you can burn a CD with around 170 MP3s on it, thus getting rid of the need for a CD changer.
