Explaining Viper things to you
OK. So Lance gets credit for starting it all. :2tu:

Plus he and Big Dave have the part to fix it to boot. Yeah, the cracked Gen2 center console.

So after reading the posts yesterday I decided to scope mine. :omg:

One click shy of FUBR. :crazy2:

Lance did an abbreviated crack fix, as he had a small crack. I had four major cracks and needed big help.

Thanks for the tip Lance. :headbang: I've ordered your part from Bid D. :usa:

Nice repair job !
You did the right thing grinding it back as you did. This removes all the mold release and allows the resin to bond to your console.

What year is you car? The underside of your center console is different than my '02.

It appears that the rubber bumbers are still the same though.

Lance/Dave: great work. I PM'd the site mods to combine your two solutions and move it to the illustrated's section. I think both do a nice job of how to install Big Dave's center console pad and fixing a much larger crack in the console. Thanks for writing all this up and taking pics!
