Gary Lashinsky announced at our club drag racing day at Gainesville drag strip many cutting edges things that will be done for the Central and North Florida club members.

VCA is now recognizing V-10 Nationals as the official drag racing series for the Viper Club. Excellent news!! The Central/North Florida VCA chapter will pay $50.00 towards the entry fee for any current VCA member that wants (and should) participate on the final event for this year at Bradenton, FL!! Remember the official site for V-10 Nationals is www.V10Nationals.com

Viper Days are coming to FL and 3-day event will take place in Sebring, FL sometime in May(?). Our club will once again help its members with the entrance fee. Also, I heard that there are discount for first time participants that are VCA members. The event should be very exciting! There are several classes with trophies and I believe cash payouts too. If you want to get some practice before that event join Safe Motorsports and join several of us on December 5th at Sebring for a full day of racing practice. More details: www.SafeMotorsports.com

I will let Gary give you more details and make any necessary corrections

On top of this it was announced our Christmas Party will be held at 5 star Hotel in Orlando..Peabody and any of its members traveling from long distances can get discounted rooms....thanks to our VCA and one of our club members.

Our VCA will help its members enjoy their Viper whether you are drag racing, road racing, or showing off your Viper at some of our car shows. Plus with the Florida weather we can do it year round.

The club has really stepped up the events. Drags and tracking is what Vipers are all about and it's great to see our club a part of it.

The Gainesville event was a great time. Once again I got shafted out of a trophy, but hey, the moral victory is what's important, at least that's what I'm telling myself.

Gary takes a lot of grief and is a good sport about it all. Thanks Gary, Libby, Barb and now Brandy.

For those who are interested, I am still considering the stock car event at Lakeland but we need to confirm 20 drivers. The price should be in the $290 range for about 25 laps. Whoever is interested needs to help us get a list of 20 members together. I think this would be a great experience for those who have never done ovals before. The ******* Pro Cup stock cars hit 160mph on this 3/4 mile oval.

I think I will claim Larrys address that week, honorary Floridian, sort of like the Ohio guys did at VOI.
But hey, it was worth a try wasn't it.
See you in December.

What you can do is........ your are already a member of one of the Ohio regions. Just pay the secondary region fee and be a member of both regions - Ohio and Central FL region.

Looks like now prorate memberships from joining third quater on. call 800 and ask.

well after reading the bylaws, I am sure Gary will block that.
From bylaws:
e. Associate Member: One who pays the Region a fee as determined by that Region for the Region’s Newsletter. Members of one Region may be Associate Members of other Regions at the discretion of the Region. Associate Members may be invited to events as observers. Associate Members are granted privileges at the discretion of the Region and the National Board.

Give a try, call the 800 number.

The club will pay $50.00 towards any current VCA member of the Central and North Florida club who attends and paricipates at the V 10 Nationals finals in Bradenton. You have to be a current member to receive this! This stipend to David Boggs and the V10 nationals comes from our local club funds and does not include non VCA members or members of other VCA regional clubs.

I called national, and they said you can be a full active member of multiple regions as long as you pay the local region yearly dues. whats the split?

$45 national?
$55 local?

Meaning if I was a new VCA member $45 would go to national and $55 to local club. so why would it make a difference, as long an existing VCA member of a different primary region, paid the same as everyone else for the year to be a fully active member of a secondary region?

We are only supporting current members from the Central and North Florida Region who are participating and running at the V10 Nationals. VCA members from other regions should talk with their local officers for support of this event.
