Check this baby out! I was driving along and started hearing/feeling clank, clank, clank from the drivers side rear. I was thinking U-joint or axle issue and pulled over to inspect. I pull the wheel and all looks OK except a small nail head sitting flush in the tire tread. Luckily I was close to home so I gently drove it back. Once in the garage I decided to pull the thing out, cussing about ruining my new PS2 rear tire (less than 500 mi.). This thing came out! It went in far enough to contact the inner rim and cause the clanking I'd heard..
