I just got my first viper a few months ago. 2003 model. I joined an autocross club last week and will be getting the car ready for some track days next season. Trying to decide what tires work best on these beasts for autocrossing, but they need to last some as well. I own a Plumbing shop and I use my viper everyday for quotes, errands, and she's even got a tool bag in the back for doing small jobs when I can. I've dreamed of owning a viper for 30 years and there's not a day that goes by that I avoid driving her. I guess I'm looking for the Swiss army knife of tires, kind of a do-all. Was also wondering if upsizing to 295 front and 355 rear would have any benefit. Im thinking they would bring the sidewalks out a little more so look a little better.

Pilot sport 4S are the do it all for sure. The kumho acr tires are likely better for track days, but you would hydroplane immediately on a rainy highway.

I run 355 rears and have no issue with it. I believe 295 fronts cause rubbing on the gen 3/4s but someone will correct me.

You should be able to bump to 295 without issue on a 10" wheel
.
If you are doing auto-x, pop off the plastic steering rack stoppers (under the rubber boots & takes 5 min to remove once boots slid back). It will give you more steering angle and not change alignment.

Depending on your class rules, there are some tires in the 100-200 treadwear range. Additionally - and again, depending on your class rules - you can run wheel spacers on the front for better turn in. 15mm+ will allow for bolt on spacers with offset studs, less than 15mm will require longer studs.

I think the Pilot Sport 4S are the replacements for the Pilot SuperSports, which were great tires and the closest "all around" tire you can get for a Viper. Like you, I drove my car every day I could, rain or shine. The SuperSports did just fine for me in even really heavy rains, though they've been discontinued. I need a new set soon as well, so I was debating between the 4S and a new set Continental has out that seems to be getting pretty decent reviews. I ran my SuperSports on the track as well and was pretty happy with them. I'm not sure how the Continentals do there though.
