Chrysler And Gm

From what I'm reading the days of Chrysler are being numbered.Meaning the days of the Viper are looking slim to continue. Wish this wasn't true but with the state of the Economy Chrysler needs help fast and most likely GM will buy into Chryslet. If this happens the Viper is a gonner.There won't be room for it.What will happen with our cars as in parts and warranties. Will there still be an VCA? At this point late in the year there is a 2009.Any word on the 2010?

Vipers are in full production. The factory is huming along. If a merger were to take place it would most likely be a while till it becomes decision time. As long as it is profitable it will not be on the top of agendas.

The decision to close the factory would depend on lots of variables, but since the car has just been refreshed, I doubt it would be a good idea to close the factory, and let it just be a dead asset.

Not much money to be invested in just cranking out the same models for a couple more years. Might make more sense to generate another niche vehicle they could run down the vacant 2nd line.

More likely they will sell it off with the viper line. Net some $$ and free up their time to handle the next crisis.

Usually when another company buys the line, you can say it basically dead..They ruin the core of the car
