I'm in the process of putting an entire new cooling system on my GTS and have both the plastic coolant bottles empty.

Anyone know what the magic brew is to get the green stains out?

Household bleach has helped, but we're not satisfied yet. I work in the chemical industry and have access to about anything.

I used a dish washer tablet and hot water on my 94. Shook it up then left them to soak for a day. Came out really clean.

Use a small bottle brush for stubborn stains

The riddle is solved. Squirted maybe 1 tablespoon of wheel cleaner in the coolant bottle. Shook it around to coat all the interior surfaces. Shook it every 10 minutes for about 30 minutes. Rinsed and done.

I think here is my secret. The deposits contain aluminum. Cleaners like that are alkaline - high pH. Bad on aluminum...
