Is it possible to have partially clogged 3" high flow cats? I am running a Roe S/C with 3'' ceramic? cats. Engine bay seems to be getting hotter than usual and side sills seem to be hotter. Could these cats be gettting clogged or is it just a bad tune? Cats are about 4 years old with about 8000 miles on them.:dunno:

I've been told not to use ceramic cats with a S.C. application but rather use the metallic substrate cats. How's your AFR? I'd give Sean Roe a call and run this by him as well.

ALL OVER
mine were partially/mostly clogged. engine ended up heating up bigtime and eventually caused a failure. hope it doesn't happen to ya...glad i warned ya.

it can happen from a bad tune. but id bet its from the S/C dumping fuel at one point and then it heats the cats up bad and they kinda turn into molten crap and clog up.

i'll never put another cat on my car again. (unless n/a)

to check, stand behind the exhaust and you should feel the air pushing out of the tips about 36" back. if its less, you prolly got them clogged like i did. or if one side is pushing air further out than the other.

plum so you got no cats at all? Did you just cut them out and weld in a pipe? How do you pass emissions?
