Per the post from two weeks ago, I have fabricated five of the block-off plates and had them powder coated in red. They came out very nice and look like oem. They are fabricated from .125 annealed aluminum plate. The mounting holes are prepunched. For some reason the pictures look like the plates have blemish, but, they are perfect.
The advantages are as follows:
1. Reduces the intake air temp when using cone filters.
2. Lowers engine operating temperature by disrupting the high pressure area behind the radiator.
3. Provides the perfect spot for nitrous solenoids and fuel distribution blockS.
4. It is prepunched for the mounting of catch cans (1 pint) on the underside.
Two of them have been sold, which leaves three. The price is $100 plus freight. If these are sold I will build another lot, at that time we could look at some different colors. Even the bare aluminum plates look pretty good since they have a polished finish.
