dc reflash

I have installed the dc reflash for my paxton viper, the engine temperature is going down, better acceleration, but the exhaust is popping much more, when I was between 3000 and 4000rpm and I´m not on full throttle. Is this normal?

What year is you car?

What type of exhaust system do you have?

Both of these factors seem to influence exhaust "popping".

Is this a soft popping on deceleration or a rifle shot?

1 - it is normal. 2 - call DC performance, give them the info and, if possible, what RPM and boost it is happening at. AND, if you happen to have a graph of your air/fuel, send that too. then they can fix it.

2006 srt10, it is something between soft and hard popping, it is a 2,5" corsa track with secondary cats eliminated. It happened with no boost, only when I´m just rolling....

Some popping is normal. I think the 05 / 06 cars pop more on deceleration that the previous ones. The problem is one of too much "deceleration fuel". Your Paxton fuel set up is likely dumping more fuel on deceleration than it should, adding to an existing issue.

I just went through this on a 2006 SRTC N/A car and DC was able to remove almost all of the popping - and I liked a little bit. Each car is a little different and when you install a Paxton, you are complicating things a bit.

I'd call DC and ask them what they think and what they can do.

I just got back my computer from DC and got it installed yesterday. I took it out for a ride and was being careful (for a bit) then started to open it up a bit at a time.. I was impressed to say the least with the overall power and smooth idle. I did have some popping but not sure if it wasn't at redline fuel shutoff. Going to dyno next week and see the results. I will keep you posted.

The Dyno results are in the increase is 7hp and 15 torque making rwhp 450 and torque 480.
