Other than a foot rest, what is the purpose of the dead pedal and where should it be adjusted?
The space between the clutch and the dead pedal is narrow for my size 11 shoes.

I believe it is basically designed to be a foot rest. Unfortunately, it is already set as far back as it can go and that isn't far enough. Like you, my 11 1/2 shoes are tight right there. I would rather have the pedal removed and be able to stretch my leg all the way out for longer drives. I don't know if it serves a purpose for the track, but I sure as heck have never touched it at the drag strip.

Do not try to adjust the dead pedal after stop and go driving! It get's so hot it will burn ya good. How about adjusting is towards the driver, just in front of the clutch pedal? Seems to work for me.
