Dan I know what you mean by the inaccuracy of the half shaft, compared to the C/V shaft. It's the binding up they are known for, but I think they have an improved design, that makes this not much of a factor. I really would want to know more about this, and be convinced they will not bind up when the car is squating or leaning, while accellerating. This is behind some of the wheel hop IRS is known for, not to mention a slight loss of power, and a few other factors. If Im convinced they will be ok, I'm going C/F all the way. Then you know you have it right.

I'm doing my homework now.

TONY,TAYLOR RACING AT www.TAYLOR-RACE.COM DOES THE QUAIFE DIFF INSTALL.YOU PULL THE PUMPKIN AND SEND IT TO THEM.THEY WILL DO THE INSTALL AND SHIP IT BACK.PARTS AND LABOR RUN AROUND 2,800.00 IVE DONE TWO QUAIFE REAREND DIFFS INSTALL ON 2 GEN 2 VIPERS.THEY ARE DOING AN INSTALL ON MY SRT 04 AT THIS TIME.THESE REAR ENDS ARE VIRTUALLY BULLET PROOF!I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE REAR END GEARS OR THE DIFF AFTER THE QUAIFE CONVERSION.CRAIG TAYLOR IS THE OWNER AND THE MAN TO TALK TO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN A QUAIFE. Thanks Norm, but it's these other guys that are concerned. As long as mine is under warranty and stock, I will let them keep replacing them free. That's good info for the gen2 though.
