Can anyone tell me the difference between the MIchelin Pilot Sports and PS2s? I'm planning on getting new tires this spring and am doing some research on what to get. I've looked on Michelin's web site, but cannot find a clear answer on the difference between these two. The PS2 is a little more expensive, but I don't know why?

What do you guys recommend. I'l be using them on stock gen 1 17" wheels.

Thanks for all the help.

Better dry/warm weather performance. They have dual rubber compounds to improve their performance. It is a strange tread, it almost looks like they can't be mounted correctly. The bottom line is they seem to grip far better. Even though the two have the same wear rating, the PS2's seem softer.

Has anyone seen any wet traction numbers, or have any wet
traction experience with these? I'll probably have to replace
the hockey pucks next spring, but wet traction is more of an
issue for me then dry.

Michellin is saying the new tires are better in the rain, but
I'd like to have some unbiased opinions before downing that
kind of cash.

I think it was Luke that posted results of various tests that tirerack did a while back. The PS2s won out on. I bought a set of PS2s a few months back. As others have said, I thought they were mounted incorrectly, but that's just how they were designed. The original PS tire's tread look way better than the PS2s, but I'd rather have a slight performance edge than "bling". :)
