Do Throttle Bodies really make power?

You know the polished versions I'm asking about. Would like to add one, but want to know if they really help make any power? (I'd be happy with an 'honest' gain of 7-8 rwhp) or do they lose power? or just motor bling?

I hear they are just bling unless you have other mods to go with it. Don't ask me which mods... I'm just a poser.

I have it but have no #s to prove just the TB gives 7-10 rwhp. look at my sig.

If you are refering to the replacment ones that have a single blade, they would add power due to the increase in x-sectional flow area and lower pressure drop. However I am not sure what what happens to the engines idle and transition with these.

the ported stock ones do not do too much.

I think that you will see some hp gains only on forced inductions cars.
