Most tire shops wouldn't do the repair because it's too close to the edge...

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">You might want to pull the screw and confirm that it's through the belts.

I had a similar situation and found the screw to be so short that it never got through the steel belts.</FONT f>

Same thing happened to me. New tire had screw in it but did not go into the belts.
