Tom,

Thats what makes this place a public forum.

Different views, different opinions. Can't please everybody.

If you love your car, great, enjoy it.

If you want to talk to only "SRT Lovers", then start a new forum called "SRT Lovers".

Conflicting views - it's part of life, not just the ViperClub.

Get over it.

United we stand has nothing at all to do with the fact that not every Viper owner likes the SRT. I for one do not like the SRT. I prefer the Gen1 or Gen2. Sure it may handle better, brake better, etc, etc, but for me, I could care less. I bought a Viper for the power and the looks of the car and in my opinion that is something the SRT does not have. Would be a pretty boring world if we all liked the same things.

Why are you taking it so personal? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that is why this is a forum. Are you having second or third or fourth thoughts about dumping your Gen2 for an SRT? Is that why you are so obsessed with trying to change everyone's opinion about the new coupe? Hmmm.... If you are so fed up with "all the internal BS" you are reading, then don't read it. It seems pretty simple to me.

United - Gen I/II - instant icon loved by all topples Corvette as King of the Hill for American Sports cars.

Gen III - not loved by all - not an instant icon has been toppled in by Ford GT in design and performance will be in for stiff competition with 06' Z06

Look at DC's other cars - Mercedes SL65 is incredible looking and has 605HP and 730lbs TQ. Do you think that the Viper is DC's "pacecar for an entire Car company"? The Viper was in 1992. In 2004 Viper is a marginilized pet project for DC.

I can "appreciate" the SRT-10. Would I buy one...nope. I would rather spend my money on a Testarossa or something.

I appreciate it's a "Viper" but I think the SRT loss a lot of it's "roots".

From one Tom to another, from one VCA member to another, from one viper owner to another, from one American to another, CHILL OUT. You act like your stuck in traffic and your motor is overheating. Go find some open road and cool it down. It'll be OK. Are you a car enthusiast or just a go with the flow kinda guy? Voice your opinion without the attitude. We don't need that here or anywhere else. It's called constructive critisism, not BS as you would say. We just want what we know DC can do. :usa:
