Yesterday, I opened the driver's door on my 2700 mile, 2000 GTS and heard the most horrible squawk coming from the door. It sounded like the hold open device. After several cycles, it was squawking so loud, I was sure something was going to break. Then I vaguely remembered a post some time back about removing a panel in front of the door to access the hinge. Sure enough, with the panel off (5 screws), there was the culprit. Greased it up and all was fine. Only problem, forgot about the spacers, and they fell off -- spent the next hour trying to figure out which went where.
This board is great! I would have had a bunch of trouble if there wasn't that previous post. (But maybe if I quit reading the board, I wouldn't have these problems!?)
