they are deadly in the flip over too as you cannot escape the car. go with something a little more original and flakey:

they are not deadly in a flip over. having being in many cars with this modification done the hinges are rock solid but are not as solid at the mounting points on the car. I can walk up to these cars with their lambo doors and bend them straight out, notice if there is any wind they wave around when they are open. even welded they still are not that strong.

but don't put them on a viper, would look tacky.

there is a place in S. cal that has done it but its a tough fit since there is no steel to weld to. They also told me that the operation was not as smooth as they would have liked. I wouldn't recommend this conversion but your call if you need the name of the place im me and I will look for it for you. I did have some pic of it at one time but not sure whazt happened to them.
