I'm I the only crazy one here? I've had my 05 for two weeks now... put 700 or so miles on her and still can't get enough..the last few days its been raining on and off and I'm going stir crazy.... I refuse to drive her in the rain or even damp pavement. Will this feeling change? :p

Nothing to it. Think "poor traction" and take it easy on the gas. Who knows, you still might end up the star of somebody's surprise birthday party or maybe even leading a homecoming parade! :2tu:

I also live at the end of a long dirt road. When it rains, it's nasty, especially if the road has recently been graded.

I leave the Viper in the garage when it's muddy.

I've got another car that is more suited to the mud:

Drive in the rain if you must, but when you drive a car in the rain, and it hasen't rained in a week or two, and the rain is just starting, the car will be many times dirtier, as the grime on the roads, will be all over your car.

It's a good idea to let the rain sort of wash the roads a bit first. I little rain is no big deal.

Driving in the rain will never do the damage as having the car out in the blistering sun, this is fact. No one hardly mentions how they have kept there car out of the mid day summer sun. That's what ages a car big time, inside and out.

I'll tell you another bad time to be driving a lot is when there has been no rain for several weeks, as the roads are very dirty and dusty. Notice how clean your car stays after it's rained.

Sun is the killer on the car. Takes the life right out the finish, and interior.

The main reason I don't like driving in the rain is that your wasting miles on the car as it's certainly no fun to drive in the rain, not to mention, the worry of other cars sliding into you. I drive my 84 Chevy truck when it rains.

I drive mine in the rain. It gets ultra dirty however, especially the hot sills. If you've driven a Bricklin in the rain you can drive anything.

That's a paradox. There's no such thing as a "wasted mile in a Viper". :D
