As the title says, is it possible to drive the GEN 1 92 Viper with the windows in, but the softtop off? I don't know if it is designed that way. The wetter here is a bit in the middle...I don't want too much wind, but I am too lazy too get the top on each time.

But a cool 27 year old is no problem I guess...

you're kind a right, but I just want to go for a cruise and last night is was so cold on my hands that I couldn't steer right anymore. And it also looks a bit funny when I drive with the top off, windows down, but with shawl, gloves, hat and warm winterjacket!

Roy,

It will work...but yes, it will look awkward. With the Vmania windows however, you can do it and look good and have a higher average speed.

I guess you don't have the tonneau cover?? I used it often on my '95 in chilly weather. You still get the wind but the heater really kicks underneath...

Does your car have snaps along the top of the dash and along the base of the rear window?? I don't know much about the early cars but if it does, it probably came with a cockpit cover originally. :dunno:

94's came with the buttons and the cover feels great to have it on when its cold in shorts warms up very well.

I drive like that a lot. I don't have a problem with being comfortable and enjoying have a roadster. With the windows up, I can drive comfortably down to around 40 deg (with head covering). Another plus is being able to have a conversation with a passenger.
