Ok guys... my apologies for such a low-tech question, but where does everyone go to get tires changed? I ask because on my lowered Vette, I didn't really trust the local Discount Tire with lifting the car, so I put it on stands and brought them wheels/tires... I could certainly do this with the Viper too, but I was just curious what everyone does. Cheers.
I take the wheels off myself. I have a hard enough time trusting shops with the rims forget about letting them have the entire car!
Every performance car I've owned has had the same treatment. Pull the wheels, wash and wax, then take them to the tire shop. Clean them one more time after the new tires are installed, then mount and hand torque.
