EBC Greens - cable?

I just received my order for EBC Greens for my 98 Viper, however, the rear pads have a cable attached to them that I have not had on previous EBC Greens I have installed on my car, and there is nothing to attach the cable to. Any information would be appreciated.

cut it (them) off. I think the cable is on the front pads not the rears, at least on my 02 it is that way.

EBC consolidates pads for several makes and models. I can't remember but I think the Audi uses the cable.

Yeah, but as I said, I have put multiple sets of EBC greens on my car in the past, and they never came with the cable...

Call up EBC. Do a quick search here and I think you will find that several references are made to the cables. And the final conclusion is to cut them off.

I do believe all have been on the front and not the rear as you stated. That does sound unusual.

EBC website also has a parts catalog you can down load to double check your PN ordered.

You could be correct in that this is a recent change. I know the ones I took off my car did NOT have the cable, the ones that went on did. This change has occurred within the last 2-3 years. I double checked my box and it lists several different application most of which are european cars, plus the Viper.

Just put greens on my car. Cut off the cable, no problem. Also painted them black (High temp paint) so the green would not show.

Let me know what price you wanna dump that thing for.. I think I know someone who might be interested. (not me). I have heard of your "current" offering price, not a huge fan of it, I think you missed the mark a bit.

I might have misstated that, would have to look back to confirm. Regardless, I never had them with cables before, but if cutting them off is okay...

Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and who knows if you heard the "current" price or not, just some "current" price.
