Hi Everyone,

Ok, 17 months from when it began, we are finally releasing the VEC2 as a stand alone item to the public. In addition to the 155 VEC2's out there with our Supercharger kits, we've been supplying some of the Viper tuners with the systems as well. Everyone, individuals and tuners alike, have liked the product and provided valuable input to make it even better. The new system, shown for the first time in the link below, is even more feature filled.

Over the next year, we intend to add more features. The VEC2 will continue to evolve, adding more features and applications. We will provide updates for the first year of ownership free of charge (plus shipping).

I'm going to try and get the VEC2 on the website order list tonight. Right now, we only have the wiring harnesses for the Gen2's built. Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 programs are already in the software. The VEC2 works on all model years. We're working to build the Gen1, Viper SRT and Ram SRT wiring harnesses now. If you wanted to run a Gen1 or Gen3 with it now and not wait another couple weeks, we can provide a wiring diagram.

Here's the link: VEC2 Information Link
Feel free to ask any questions. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the system is $995 for Gen2. Gen1, Gen3 and Ram systems will be slightly higher due to the additional wiring harness parts to make it a plug in (like it is on the Gen2). I have installation instructions available if anyone wants to see them. It takes about 30 minutes to install it (10 if you just want to test without having to tie wires up and tuck them away).

Regards,
Sean

Sean, I assume for those of us who purchase one and later on may want to add the s/c will in some way have it credited toward that purchase(s/c).

That is correct.
The Supercharger kit includes the VEC2 system with program cards already made, but not the program ($199 option).
Also, the VEC2 is at a "package price" when included with the SC.
So, if you had a VEC2 and were to then get a SC kit, we would leave the VEC2 out (still providing the program cards) and reduce the SC kit price by $650-$750 (to be determined). If you already had a VEC2 (or wanted to buy a SC without VEC2), that would bring the price of a black anodized SC kit to around $6,545 and polished to about $6795.

Sean

Sean,

Thanks. The information is great. Do you or anyone have a 3d map of the stock PCM fuel and spark characteristics?

Could you make a card for me based on 542ci and a 233/233 [email protected] duration cam?

SEAN- put me down or a Gen-3 kit as SOON as the harnesses are built. I will complete my buy-in order at that time as well. Thanks!

Hi sean, I know all cars are different. But if I were to buy a kit for my 2000 gts with a paxton SC, and I gave you all the specifics about the engine, would you be able to come close on the right card for this car, or does this involve extensive testing on a dyno to get just right. This looks like an amazing piggy back system.

Not to hijack the thread...but does that mean the Gen 1 S/Cs will be ready in a couple of weeks too? :D

See section 10 for the stock fuel and timing curves. We already have baseline curve samples on the disc. A '99 with similar mods and this program picked up 115 ft lbs of torque on the bottom end. Amazing what some fuel and timing can do.

We already have sample programs on the disc. But, we're here to help with tuning also. We've been tuning by fax, phone and e-mail for the last 10 months on the SC cars.

Coincidentally, the first production parts started arriving today. The fab shop that sent them was early. They were'nt due for another week.

Very cool news! Very excited for you to get this out.

If you have a VEC1 already in place, can the VEC2 use any of the existing wiring/"plumbing" to replace the VEC1? Or is it pretty much all new/different wiring where you would revert from VEC1 back to stock then on to VEC2?

Totally different. I did keep the LED display from the Vec1 to watch.

My car was the '99 test mule that gained so much torque and hp in the lower rpm ranges. The entire dyno graph shifted to the left and stayed high through 5500 rpm.

This is a great item at a great price to gain lower end torque and hp.
