Just off the top of my head, 180-182 sounds like a good top end for a stock GenII. Stugots might have a point that 6th gear becomes useable (all top end tests I've ever read on a Viper use 5th) and maybe the top end would be better? Theoretical top end in 6th of the SRT-10 is over 300mph. Give it 3.55's and ....ugh, too much math this early in the morning.

Drag racing, 3.55's make you have to shift into 5th.... Viper red-lines 3.55's at about ~118 mph.
Stock 3.07's red-line at ~140mph. So Does this matter? Depends on mods... My car will hit 140 in the 1/4 mile, so I try to stay in 4th. If I had 3:55's that would be another story...

The 3.55 is better because it lets you use the whole transmission on real world roads.
Even with the 3.55 you still get top speed in 5th.
You should get rid of the 70 mm tb's. They will only hurt you with what you have now.
Lots of guys want to put them on because it's so easy but it hurts the power. You will get beat by a guy with stock ones.
Put you old ones back on and really feel that power again.

JD - the 3.55'***** redline at 135 MPH in 4th gear. (not 118) 3.07's are good to 148.

I redline 4th pretty good at 140, though.

IF your car is heavily modded and your gonna drag race the 355's are not a good idea.

Unless you run a 28" tall slick! In fourth gear:
6000 rpm, 3.07 gear and stock tires = 148 mph
6300 rpm, 3.55 gear and 28" slicks = 148 mph
Now there's another wrinkle you didn't want to think about.

I have 3.55 and 575 RWHP and have never had to make a 4--5 shift in the 1/4. I think anything over 600 RWHP would need the 3.07.

I put 26.23" tire, 6200rpm, 3.55 gear, .75 5th gear, .5 6th gear. Into the calculator.

ive got a set of 3:55 to sell. i loved them and the only reason i went back to stock was due to my HP upgrades now too much for 3:55.

What? I have 3.55's in my car. Car hooks well on DR's and ran a mid 1.5 sixty foot on its way to a 10.3. I can't wait to get back to the track and push it a little harder.
With a 26" tall tire, you should be good to 135 or so in fourth. Do you think you'll break that with all motor? If so, that's great.
