I really like the 04-05 SRT rims on the GTS
Can I get some pics of GTS's with these rims? - B&W even better :2tu:

I did some searching on here and only found one thread on this and it didn't answer all my questions

are there any fitment issues?

do they just bolt on?

I have Eibach lowering springs, will I have any rubbing?

also, I saw that the larger diameter rears will change the final ratio, but how much?

what size tires are recommended?

are there any fitment issues? No fitment issues

do they just bolt on? Yes

I have Eibach lowering springs, will I have any rubbing? Possibly on the rear depending on tire size

also, I saw that the larger diameter rears will change the final ratio, but how much? Not postive, but at a guess(again depending on tire) 2.90.

what size tires are recommended? If you can find pirelli 355-19, go for it.

See above for answers

Here are some pictures of my GTS when I had it:

I seem to recall reading a few times that there are not issues unless you do something rad like a wide fat rear lip that moves the wheel out. The SRT wheels are of course a stock lip dimension.

do they just bolt on?

Yes.

Once again referring to what I recall reading before, that was brought up and with the factory wheel you will only have rubbing issues with a lowered car if you like off roading or taking speed bumps in 4th gear.

also, I saw that the larger diameter rears will change the final ratio, but how much?

Plug all of your info in this calculator.

SS #670 with MM6 manual and GU6 3.42 gears

I would just use the stock dimension. That's what I'm going to do when I put new SRT sized wheels on my GTS, as there should be a supply down the road. Buy a tire that only fits a few exotic cars, and they may stop making it some day.

Not to sound stoooooopid, but what #'s do I plug in the diameter/circumference boxes to see what my Gen 1 (stock wheel and tire sizes) can do in each gear.

Tire terminology explained for Chad.

345/35-19 for instance.

-> 345 is cross section width in mm. Oh I'm sorry, that would be millimeters.

-> 35 is the % of the width in section height. Oh I'm sorry, % is the percent symbol.

-> And of course 19 is the wheel size in inches.

So let's get started...

-> 35 percent of 345 is (0.35 x 345) 120.75 millimeters. This is one section height.

-> Since the tire has 2 sides, top and bottom typically, we multiply that number by 2. So total sidewall tire section height is 2 x 120.75 millimeters, 241.5 millimeters.

-> To convert millimeters to inches, like the wheel diameter is, and like the on line calculator wants, we divide millimeters by 25.4. So total sidewall tire section height is 9.5 inches, as that is what 241.5 divided by 25.4 is.

-> Final step is to add the wheel diameter to the tire section total. 9.5 plus 19 equals 28.5 inches.

Use that number for wheel diameter in the calculator. Using your tire size info of course.
