I will not mention the vendor.....

But when do you give it up? I bought a full set of mats (incl. trunk) for a pretty penny. Looked great! Quality merchandise. Perfect color match. Only the truck mat didn't fit. Returned it and a new one was sent. OK. Cost me for the return postage. Floor mats fit reasonably well....but not quite perfect. Fine, I can live with that.

18 months later the stitching around the sneaky pete embroidery (VERY large 9") starts to tear on the driver's side mat. I'm ticked! Shouldn't they last a bit longer than that? It's not the time, it's the use, right?

So they willingly repair the mat. OK. Cost me for the return postage, but no charge for the repair.

Now, 3 months later, the same embroidery stitching is tearing again...only in a different spot! I'm about to order another pair of mats (again for bouku bucks) from a different vendor rather than send these back for repair, again...simply because I'm thinking that these mats LOOK great, but are just poorly made. And I don't want this to go on and on.

Am I off base here? Just curious before I throw another $300 at the car.

Has anyone else had this kind of problems with the EXPENSIVE (thick rubber backed) floor mats?

Why wouldnt you mention the vendor? This way we know not to purchase from there?

Im looking to get some mats too and would like to know a good place. Lots to choose from so far.

I bought the Snake Oyl mats about 3 years ago. After a month the drivers side lost a clump of material. I called to ask if they would replace it and was told no. That was my last purchase from them.

WOW! That's a bit of a surprise. I was under the impression that they had first rate products AND customer service.

I am getting ready to order mats for my viper too, surely a GOOD set should last a few yrs...? I mean, I could imagine wear on the driver's side, where your heal is, but not around the embroidery..you should expect more, ESPECIALLY for what you paid!

I spent $200 on mats for my Z06, I have had them for 3 yrs now and they STILL look brand new.

I bought my mats from usspeedonline.com. They were about 120 with the snake head and viper logo. I haven't installed them yet so I Have no idea if they will hold up but they look and feel great.
