I have had alignment done and this is what the guy discovered just running under the car:

first 2 pics show the 'wave' on the frame. Hmm, we thought a frame should not include things like this although we had no idea on implications of this.

the second set of pics show one of the anchors of the rear arms - they host the excentric bolts used for the alignment. As you can see one of these anchors is bent which makes the alignment procedure very difficult and almost impossible to set for my application (lowered with motons)

bad one:

good one:

what do you think? almost like frame fell off the truck in factory? Should I deal with it with DC?

my guess is your not the first owner of the car? If your not the car may have been in some kind of accident that you were not informed of?

I know the car was purchased New at a Northern California dealership and stayed in the area until shipped to Europe. Roman, is it possible the car was damaged in shipping?

possibly using the wrong type of tie downs to secure the car during shipping bent the frame section? or is it possible that all of the cars have frame sections like this

ooh from the first two pictures it looks like the frame is buckled.

I've seen tow trucks do that to cars as they over-tighten the tie downs.

Although it might just be from the way the frames are bent into shape at the factory...anyone else have that? I'd look at mine but I can't at the moment.

The control arm anchors shouldn't look like that. They look as though they have been re-assembled incorrectly or the bolts might have been over tightend.

all normal, its the way the frame is formed at the factory.

The arm supports are pitched like that from the tension created when the eccentric lobes on the adjuster bolts push against them durring alignment. As long as the lobe isnt popped over top of the stop, no big deal.

the car was purchased new as the vegas guy stated. There is no damage around so I think it's safe to assume the frame is as it went from the factory. I do have major problem with arm supports because the alignment guy had great deal of difficulties to 'make the numbers' (on looking at alignment machine). I was looking at him (them) while they were doing it so I know they were not kidding saying that the car behaves like alive (one angle went ok while another was running away etc.). I don't know how to fix this since I don;t want to apply the rough force by hammer. Any idea? I am not lowered completely onw since our house awaits fix on the driveway, I am afraid once I put it completely down it will be impossible to make the numbers right.

The problem with the arm supports is that any major movement with the arms is SUPPOSED to be done with the car lifted off the rack, then set back down and final adjustments made. there is too much tension on the suspension even on slider plates to make large moves without buckling the frame mounts. Very few alignment places take the time to do this........in afct, I have yet to find one that wont do it without "compensation"

What Final GTS says about, "Very few alignment places take the time to do this........in afct, I have yet to find one that wont do it without "compensation"", is very true. I pay my alignment man by the hour and I help him do the alignment. This way the job is done right. It is worth paying a few extra bucks to get it right as he will take his time when he is getting paid by the hour.
