Hi all. I got stranded in Monterey on saturday (I know, not the *worst* place to be stranded but inconvenient nonetheless) because there's something wrong with my fuel pump. You can no longer hear it prime when moving the key to 'on', there's just
a subtle 'click' noise.

My baby is sitting in Wester Dodge right now and they're going to get to it this afternoon but I was wandering if others have had problems in this area. Its a '99 with 15K miles.

Thanks,

- Mark ('99 ACR)

Yes...Very common. Car is difficult to start. Short term solution (to get you to dealership) is to turn on key...but not to start..several times, and each time the fuel pump will increase pressure. You should be able to hear the weak pump clicking as each cycle builds the pressure a little more. Older cars more prone to this I think.
