Hey folks, Dust off your cars & get ready for the spring action!

First off, due to my unbelievably hectic racing schedule, I will not be able to attend any of our events this month. This is an unusual situation that should not be the norm. Many thanks to the other members for picking up the ball & running with it!. My race schedule will follow at the end of this post for any of those interested in attending.

Due to some unfortunate editing at Viper magazine, our GA notes have been incomplete. Last issue's notes were written by Thomas Wilson (aka TOMCAT), Sorry Tom, I plead the 5th. Your latest issue notes are also incomplete, that is unfortunate because it left out the events that we are trying to promote beyond the region. Please spread the word to all you know in the enthusiast community.

An issue that is always being brought to my attention is that the GA VCA is only interested in racing & performance driving events. This may seem this way but it is not true. Any successful club usually has a mix of events. I categorize them as: Performance events( Drag racing, Auto Cross, Track days, Dyno Days) , Socials ( monthly meetings, parties etc) & Show & shine events ( Concourse, car shows, cruises, mountain drives, rallies etc.). We have had a good mix of events this last few months, but I have heard repeatedly that "ALL WE WANT TO DO IS RACE" Well , our monthly meetings are a big success, with 20 plus members coming every month and over 54 different people attending since we started Monday nites last fall! That is almost 100% of our membership participating. Our track events are a big hit too, with many new faces at every event. We had a breakfast cruise to an incredible car collection that was organized by David Haynes last month & we had a grand total of ONE attendee. Hardly worth Dave's efforts , but we thank him & our host just the same. If you are interested in another chance at this opportunity to see this collection of over 50 cars, please let me know. If you know of any car show , cruise or mountaindrive that you would like us to participate in, please let me know. If you are willing to organize such an event, please step forward & the GA VCA will give you our full support.

Dave, wife and I will be there. As for the car collection, count me in if it happens again. We would've gone to it the last time, but our son had a ball game. John
