My lap timer has the ability to display and log engine rpm. It's not necessary to have this hooked up but I'd like to use this feature if possible. Anyone know where I can tap in to get a tach signal on a GEN4? Thanks.

Unlike Gen I through III, Gen IV does not have a tach drive pin... if your lap timer is CAN compatible, rpm can be read off the bus.

Call Archer Racing.

They connected my lap timer's tach at Viper Days in Buttonwillow this winter.

I believe they connected a special G2X part to the #1 cylinder.

Works really well. I've now programmed in the shift lights so I don't have to watch the tach.

I use a G2X lap timer with Datalink software.

Good luck,

Dan

That's exactly what I have. Love the progressive shift light feature. Thanks!
