Hey all you GA folks, does Georgia do emissions testing and if so, do they do the OBD hookup or do they sniff all vehicles? :usa:

I'm that buddy Chad is talking about. I live in Woodstock, GA, which is Cherokee County, just north of Atlanta. Cherokee has the same testing requirements as Fulton, Cobb, and the other metro counties. I have a '94, so I have to run the car on a dyno. Since you have a '96+ all you'll have to do is plug into an OBDII tester, its pretty simple. Some shops will insist on seeing the Cats, which is very tough on VIPERS, but for the most part the test is no big deal...

Also, if you need the name of a good shop close to Atlanta to do the test I can refer you to the place that does mine. They are great people that won't give you any trouble and are used to dealing with expensive cars.

OBDII plug in for your Gen2 only. Check engine light checker essentially. I've NEVER had anyone request that body panels be removed to see my cats!

OBDII,
If you have had a light on in the last 50 to 100 miles you could be denied. They will check the seal on your gas tank.
My car passed and the check engine light had been on about 50 miles previous.
