1. Go get a 6 pack of beer.
2. Consume said 6 pack.
3. Use Brillo pad on spot after pouring a little bit of beer on the spot for lubrication.

Whoops, I forgot, that's how I fixed the nick on my 88 Lincoln TownCar, sorry.

Seriously, WD-40 is a great secret weapon, but don't forget to use a 100% cotton towel to rub with.

Definatley. 3M makes some really great stuff. Found mine at Wal Mart.

Even for scratches that there is a SLIGHT fingernail grabbing gouge, still works great.

Simple
2000 grit wet sand the small area until paint "fills in" the scratch (if it's scratched). CAREFUL!!! Don't press too hard or wetsand long enough (might wetsand through all layers of paint and expose unpainted surface. OUCH!)
A minute of 3M Rubbing compound from a dry clean rag
Then some nice polishing by hand from 3M Polishing Compound.. (might have to do this step twice or 3 times..)

Bam, Like New

Hope that helped..
