It's time for me to start chipping away at my spring Viper shopping list. A new Gtech is on the list. There have been some discussions from time to time on this board regarding these units. Anyone have any thing new to add? Good or bad?
Basically, I'm looking at their two newest models, the SS and RR. About $100 difference in price (199 vs. 299). The higher priced unit (RR) gives you the ability to upload the data to your home computer and graph/analyze the info. I'm thinking I'd rather use the extra hundo somewhere else as the base unit will store up to 30 runs. I've pretty much decided on one of these units over the Passport G-Timer. The Gtech can pick up RPM's through the power connection on the car. By providing the actual weight of the car, it will calculate hp and tq numbers. Can also program it to be used as a shift light.
