I have V700s on my rear and they have been fine. Granted, I only drive on nice pretty days and only been caught in the rain a couple times, but they were ok. No worse than the Michelins I had on it when I 1st bought it. Traction wise, on nice days, they are a lot better!

I have the V700's in thee rear as do a LOT of people and they are great for traction. I was going to get drag radials but the side walls are softer and in my opinion more dangerous to drive on.
The V700's do wear out quickly though.

Just order them from Jon B at the parts rack, it was cheaper than tire racks price :)

Maybe if you are doing constant burn outs or trips to the drag strip. The way most Vipers are driven most will replace them due to age versus wear. I have V700's and they are great for me. I don't drive the Viper in rain or ice so I couldn't tell you in those conditions :smirk: . I would rather have the V700 because it's so sticky.

I bought my 18" V700's from parts rack :) I think they get better milage than 3K. I'd estimate maybe 6-8K unless your doing a lot of track days.

PS2's are pretty expensive thats why im looking elsewhere.

Is it true the the V700's pick up alot of crap on the road and chip paint?

the shaved and heat is for track cars, less depth on the tread, makes them more like slicks.

I had V700s. Good traction. picked up everything.

I have PS2s, more $$ but IMHO a much better tire. Not picking up things and so far, appears to be close in traction.

Sidebar, the V700 looks odd due to the squared off sidewall in relation to tread, and has no rim protector (rim sticks out).

I have to agree i hate the way the V700's look on the rim :( THe rim does look like it sticks out some from the tire. They do hook good for the price though.

My next set of tires will be some BFG drag DR's.
