Hello,

I recently started experiencing difficulty putting the car in 1st gear. The clutch has become very difficult to engage. Any ideas as to why this may be happening, I'm pressing the clutch all the way down, but still having difficulty placing it in 1st from time to time.

It's a 2004 SRT10 with 10K miles on it.

Thanks for any input :2tu: .

There are no silly questions, just silly people, :p

Unfortunately, the mat is in it's proper place. I believe I found a thread where some people are having a similar problem.

Check the archives. Pressure plate bolts can and do back out. Engagement point becomes lower and lower, car is more and more difficult to shift until you can't get the car into reverse, then first, then not driveable. Very common. Happened twice to me.
