Guys,

I just recently purchased a front splitter for my car to replace the cheap one that is on there now. I brought it over to West Coast Viper to have installed. Problem is, due to my different front fascia, the splitter will not fit. D'oh!

So, here's your chance to pick up an AWESOME carbon fiber front splitter that costs $2200 new (it is brand new, never used) for $1,000 plus shipping. It's currently at West Coast Viper right now. If somebody here doesn't buy it, I am guessing they'll have a customer soon enough that will. My loss is your chance to get one of these cheap. The price is firm. If you want it, PM me and let me know.

What exactly does a front splitter do? Does it smooth out the airflow underneath?

Looks cool as hell and creates down force to keep your car planted to the road at high speeds and allows you to corner faster. This one also reduces some turbulance underneath due to it's size. Look at photos of the competition coupes and you see they all have it. Like here -- man they just look so bad ***!

Fontsplitters and also complete covering of the underground of the car is only for one purpose. The splitter makes it possible for the air to pass faster under the car, while spoilers, or the car itself block the air in a way, "above" the car.
So, when the air under the car is faster, then above the car, it creates almost some kind of vacuum under the car, that "*****" the car to the ground -> Gives you better handling, faster cornering etc..
This is even more effective then spoilers, because it actually doesn't create any drag like a huge wing on the back does.

I think it is sold -- I have to return two phone calls, both of which left voice mails saying they will take it. :)

And to answer your question, I have the autoform street coupe body kit, so my car is wider than stock, and the splitter is made for a stock Gen 2 Viper.
