I was speaking with a fellow long time Viper owner from the West coast earlier this evening. One of the Viper precipitated behavioral phenomenona we both acknowledged was what most, if not all, of us know as the smile response. No matter what kind of day it has been, or it is about to be, when I approach my Viper I start to smile. When I start the engine, any stress starts to melt away. When the vehicle starts to move, whatever might have been annoying me fades into the background. How many of you have experienced this? Have a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, and a Happy New Year!

The first time I let my best friend drive my Viper, he couldn't stop smiling. It takes practice to drive the snake and not look like a smiling dweeb. :D

I don't drive my car much at all, (only about 200 miles this year) and I keep a favorite CD in the car, when I slide in, smell the new leather, start the cubic monster and turn on the stereo - I SMILE.

I get completely immersed in the experience.

Agreed - no other car like it, in my opinion. I've let quite a few people drive my car with me in the passenger's seat. They always LOVE it and it gives me a better appreciation for the car, too. In my opinion, it feels faster when you're in the passenger's seat and not in control.

It's true. I just have to pop my head into my car hole and I'm a new man.
I agree with Final Ed, it does feel faster in the pass. seat. I took my bro for a ride awhile back, he's had his V for a year more than I, and he just about sh*% himself the first time I stepped into it!
Merry Christmas, all.

The Viper is the only toy I ever bought that hasn't lost the initial excitement factor. Everyday I pull up in my driveway after work in the Silverado, hit the clicker, and there is that low slung animal caged in the garage. I just shake my head, man I love that car. I really enjoyed my other Bowties in the past, but they took lots of money to get them where I was happy with them. When this car was born it tested positive for Anabolic Steroids! Okay so I'll probably dump tons of cash in this car too, but it's just different.

Over 8 years have passed and the first love feeling is still strong. It will taken more than a Gen IV with 650hp to get rid of that feeling.

I am lucky as well in owning my Viper. I have dreamed about this car since the first time I saw one. Finally I have it and will never sell it unless it is for another Viper that I lust after even more. I guess my next dream is to own two of them. Of course then I would have the problem of deciding which one to bury me in. :2tu:
