All going on this weekend. I am looking for any tips/advice on this install. I am installing a set of Hennessey Headers to a B&B Catback. Also, I will be installing the Woodhouse Motormounts and tranny mount.

I am interested to know of any clearance issues, but I am also open to any and all tips, pointers or advice.

Thank you!

Explaining Viper things to you
Man, with all the hot rodders here, can't believe no one is helping you out. I'm gonna put the Bellangers on sometime in the future, but they are 2 piece and plenty has been posted.

Bump...

headers are really pretty straight forward but dont know about the 5into1's...the cat back is same, pretty easy and accessible for the most part. hardest part for me was getting the sills back on in the right location. the oem heat shields always get in my way. I never did motor mounts on a viper so cant help at all.

I've never installed a set of headers on a Viper, but I'm assuming you are going to have to weld the header lower pipe to some type of new cat or straight pipe you are installing?

It's all just going to be a pain in the ass, but not hard. Lot's of grunting and getting ticked at stuck nuts/bolts and fitment issues. Take your time, be patient, take a few breaks and you will be fine.

Use the search here to look for mount installation tips. The transmission mount is cake.

I'm assuming you have a manual?

I installed B&B headers and cat back. Not sure if your headers have slip fit collectors like the B&B. The headers went on fairly easily, although they 90 degree turn outs to the cats werent bent correctly so that was a whole can of worms... The B&B cat back went on nicely though. Only problem was I could not get the side sills back on with the stock heat sheilds. They would not clear the the resonators, not matter what I tried.... So I just used header wrap and wrapped from the cat delete pipe to the end of the resonators. No problems with that. Sills get hot sometimes, but never had a problem with the paint or anything.

Bottom line, the car sounds mean as hell, but is almost quiet as stock cruising on the highway. :2tu:

The motor mounts can be tough. When you jack the motor up you will hear a lot of cracking and pops. It's ok. But take your time. When I started to hear that I would stop everytime and check to see if I broke something. But it all turned out ok. The really hard part about doing the motor mounts is getting the mount past the frame rails. Once you get them past that, it's easy...untill you put the new one in. My driver's side was a real PITA. But on both I had to beat the heat shield into submission to get them out.

I ended up removing the valve covers to get enough clearance without scratching anything when I installed my Belanger headers. I also removed the intake box (4 bolts) on the passenger side. As for the mounts, depending on which brand you use you could gain or lose frame clearance where the exhaust turn outs fit through the frame. The PB mounts are a little thinner than stock, Woohouse are thicker. There's a write up on the mounts in the illustrated section.
