Help a NY Guy out.......

Mail i got after helping a guy out on the UK forum...Anyone help in any way.......
Not met him as he lives in NY but had a few mails..

Thought i would just post his mail rather than trying to put it into my own words for him....



Baz,

I really appreciate the fact that you are trying to help me out with
this. I am not quite sure who I spoke with, as it has been some time
since I sent an email. Either way, whoever
I did email I never received a response, and I think I sent about 3
emails. I realize it is more than likely a simple miscommunication as I
know from experience most car groups welcome with open arms enthusiasts
and future hopeful owners.

Basically I would appreciate it if you could somehow post on their
boards my email and contact information which is:

And of course a short message conveying that I am hoping to bring my
cousin to one of these Viper meets or meet with someone at a mutual
spot in 'given' area for my cousins birthday or whatever date is
acceptable for whoever extends their invitation. ( His birthday is
August 16th by the way) My cousin lives in Dutchess County, Wappingers
Falls NY to be exact right off of Route 9. But we can happily meet
anyone from surrounding areas/counties such as; Westchester, Putnam or
Dutchess County. Even Danbury Connecticut since alot of groups I know
meet there, albeit unsure if one of them is the Viper organization.

And that is basically it. I just would love for him to have the
opportunity to be a passenger in one. When I had the opportunity when I
was younger to be a passenger (I even drove one) in an Esprit it was as
of someone had lit a flame under my **** and I was highly motivated!!
Something as simple as this could really get someone going, I dont have
to tell you that.

Also, please make it clear that we dont intend on being a '3rd wheel'
to anyones day, just a look, a ride, a pleasant chat and we'll be on
our way with much gratitude!

Again, i appreciate any and all help. I thank you in advance!

I'm sure we can get him a ride. We just need to get him to an event or get someone local to give him a lift. We've got many members up in Westchester.

I didn't see that any VCA events are going on this weekend, I think the Consumer Reports run was canceled, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. So if he wants to have a ride on his birthday, I could do that, although I'm most familiar with Ct. and Danbury, know a little in Westchester County, and have been to Wappinger Falls once. Usually I have an empty seat going to the VCA events and would probably be able to bring him to one. Please PM me to work out details.

I have to get out on Park Avenue and 54th street early on a Sunday to get a new Avatar in the same spot.

Spooky is right! My '01 was delivered 9/7/01. Of virtually no relative significance, I do recall many instances where I was forced to pull over for "inspection" the first few months after 9/11.

Well after a couple of emails and a phone call we were going
to meet today at 12 at a local mall parking lot. I am sitting
there at noon and nobody shows up.
I waited until 12:30 and not even a call. I even had a
bumblebee drive-by set up (not a VCA member). Maby he doesn't
want a Viper after all. I wouldn't hesitate to do it for someone again though. Oh well. I ended up going to the
Orange County Chopper car show and was the only Viper there.
Alot of imports.

Yeah, something doesn't seem right. I offered to take him out on his birthday, and emailed the the ones who wanted to do this for him, and they were fowarding to him, but I heard nothing back. I think he has another Viper hookup tomorrow, we'll see how that goes. We tried anyway. Hopefully all is well with him.
