Okay need some wheel help. I am doing a bunch of mods to my GTS over winter this year. I really want to redo my HRE's because the paint just didn't hold up that great as expected.

Anyways the wheels are Matte black Spoke with Gloss Black lip. Thinking about staying with the Matte black spoke, but doing a Gloss white lip. See pic:

Also thinking about redoing the Calipers in gloss white to match with Matte black "VIPER" writing.

Also what I need the most help on is Powder Coating my HRE's. I have been told that this may compromise my wheels integrity. I have the 895r 20" all around. Anyone familiar with this? Also HRE does NOT recomend it, but they also didn't recomend anyone but them painting them. I really prefer not to have them do the paint and charge me $4584583458 per wheel to paint them either.

I don't track the HRE's obviously, but I don't want something bad to happen if I am going too fast on the street.

Tim, I have the iforged aero's, I took them apart and had all 3 pieces powdered. I then reassembled with all new hardware. They look great. I have ran them for about 2500 miles this year with no problems. Color opinion is like a-holes everybody has one. Do what you like and rock it.

My 6 spoke SRTs powdercoated a matte black. Personnally, it is a stretch for me to imagine all white calipers and/or a white lip on your wheels. I would think brake dust on all white calipers would be a pain. The way my thoughts run a white lip would only go good with white side walls. :omg:

It is something that would be intersting to experiment with but I would only do it if I had the coin to change it back if it was bad.

The white rims will not look good. The beast'd look like a giant pair of BMW angel eyes from the side view at night :)
