Hi! I just started having a new problem over the weekend. I notice when I go WOT the engine will respond immediately with increase RPMs but it doesn't feel like the tranny responds for a couple of seconds after the clutch is all the way out. It's like you go into the new gear but the car has to think about it for a couple seconds before it really grabs on. There are no abnormal noised in the tranny when this happens. Thanks in advance!!

Certainly sound like it's slipping, I just received my replacement clutch and aluminum flywheel because mine was slipping at 8,000 miles. I herd of the clutches lasting a lot longer and a lot less depending on driving habits and modifications.

First indication for me was my clutch slipping in 5th and 6th gear(engine revs faster than the car moves). My guess, since you don't know how the first 8K miles were driven, it's a good possiblility the clutch may be worn.

Replaced mine around 14000mi.
It was not slipping but was worn-out.

You might have some oil leaking around the crankshaft.
Check the seal.

The clutch on my Gen 1 lasted *beyond* the 58,000 miles when I replaced it, even after numerous track and autocross sessions. In fact, the only reason I replaced it then was due to it getting so stiff that the stop-and-go traffic I encountered a few times a week on my commute were getting to be a pain.

I'm kinda curious as to how one abuses a clutch so badly that it wears out in less than 30k miles. Too many full throttle launches?

I'm curious - how is it worn out if its not slipping?

Means that the pads on the clutch nearly disappeared.
I replaced it before it started slipping.

An advise: don't wait until the clutch starts slipping, it can also break ...
