I am replacing the intake Manifold on my '05. I am at the point of putting the new one on and am concerned about torquing down the bolts. There's not enough clearance for the wrench on the front bolts. It won't work with a universal joint adaptor either. Is there a trick or a special tool needed for this?

I asked Dan at D.C. Performance the same question when I did mine. He basically said you need the feel and make them all the same (snug). The torque # that I can remember was about 10 foot pounds which is not a lot. Dan also said " put a bolt in a vice and and torque it to 10 foot pounds and then use a ***** to mimic the pressure". Sounds barbaric but sometimes old school is the best way. You can use a Torx socket to fit into the star on the top of the bolt. Also Snap-On tools
makes a 11mm socket with a swing arm very cool. But it was about $45.00

I took it off with a wrench so you may be right. That may be the only way.

Inside ones are fairly easy going through the top of the manifold. Very back ones are a bit tricky because the space in the manifold is too tight for the socket to fit through. But I managed to do it with the star bit on an extension.
