tomorrow morning im gonna have it all installed finally.

In 3 weeks Sean Roe will tune the car without the nitrous first, then do it spraying. i wanna make sure i have all my bases
covered. Im sure Sean knows what he is doing, i just wana double check myself.

Things i know::
jets are 52/33
bottles will be FULL.
system will be working ( not tested other than into a bucket )
VEC2 is gonna be my WOT & window switches
plugs are one step colder. ( bringing the two step colder plugs just in case )

My questions::
should i bring other jets to swap in and out ? if so, which way should i go with them?
what A/F range should it be in for spraying? FROM____ to _____ ( 11:1 to 11:5 )???
what should i do for timing ?..keep it stock or what ?
should i raise bottle pressure for the dyno ( my guess is NO )
what should i set the window at ? from 2900 rpms to 5650 rpms ???
is there anything i can do to make sure the fuel solenoid will always work ?

any help is appreciated...thanx

1) I would first do a NA pull to verify everything is OK and to get a baseline.
2) Spray FIRST the 100 shot to verify everything is functioning normally.
3) If A/F is somewhere around 10-12, you could go 150 shot.
4) Same thing, if everything is OK, go 200.

I would not pull a 200 shot right out of the bat... WAY too risky.

Dont mess with the bottle presure until you are sure you wount go lean.

Go slow in the beginning, dont do a 200 pull first. I dont want you to melt pistons before even getting ONE clean pull.

Good luck, let us know the numbers.

100 shot:----N2O# 35 and FUEL# 18
150 shot:----N2O# 41 and FUEL# 22

From there I cut my own sizes, while tuning on dyno.
(Hey, something good being a watchmaker? :D )

I'll be happy to cut any size you prefer for free, just send me the cores.)

Great info RedEnuf93. Care to elaborate on what size the 200 shot would be? I know you said you made your own, but do you have dimensions or approximate sizes? I let the tuners do mine and I now want to check to see where they have me.

I have no window, I manually engage it at 3000.

Mine started lean (NA), but stayed between 11-12 from 3750RPM to 5000RPM. I do not pull over 5000, its useless.

This was not my best pull, but its the one I have as jpg.

About 5000 is what you want to pull. Look at my chart, at 4700RPM the HP drops like a cows tail from 600HP to 550-500HP within 1000RPM.

Max TQ is already below 3700RPM.

Good Luck! Let me know how it went!

I set my window switch at 3000-5500. I'd never risk running nitrous without a window switch.
Beyond safety, not triggering the nitrous is just one less thing to worry about.

My power doesn't drop off so much at 5000RPM because I'm running richer (not as efficiently as RedEnuf93), but the A/F naturally leans out at speed, and I'm being extra safe. :2tu:

Let me reconfirm and add a little to the discussion:

1. As stated, shut it down at 5000.

2. The 5600 window may be to low for the quarter mile, the key is to shut it off before the rev limiter (6200).

3. Set the vec to bring in the nitrous at 3000, but, still utilize a WOT switch. It would be in series with the VEC output.

4. If you look at the dyno chart posted in this thread you will see the initial lean condition. This is quite common and kills torque. It is caused by the nitrous beating the enrichment to the intake. Fine tune your system with the VEC to bring in some additional fuel just ahead of the nitous turn-on. You could also lengthen the nitrous lines to to lessen the lean condition.

5. As long as you stick to a 200 shot and keep it rich <11:1 you do not have to pull timing. On our cars the hp drops quickly as you pull timing. The rich condition accomplishes the same by slowing down flame propagatioon.
