Steel Grey ('00), Graphite ('02), Slate ('06) and the new Graphite Metallic ('09). I could be wrong, but I think the '02 and '09 Graphite are the same color. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I believe you are correct but the only way to tell would be to look up the color codes. Don't forget they made slate in '06 I believe which was a little more gun metal.

Sorry for the size. trying to show the "pearl" in "Pearl Slate". 1 of 8 w/stripes, 1 of 31 total in '06. Nothing like it in the sun. Almost did my SS in this color.
BTW.... Got my overlays...

No, they are "Painted" I did have your overlays on the car before though. I removed all the light lenses and had them "painted". Then bought HID's... I want to overlay the HID DL's on this car and my SS. I have a set of Eurotech's (center hat is slate color already) and I am also powdercoating the calipers pearl slate. Instal in next couple of weeks.

After seeing your cars, I know you could appreciate things like that...

Does the new 09 metallic have the multi colored flakes in the paint or more on the lines of graphite?

The 00 steel gray is a tri coat metal flake which changes color in different conditions. In bright sunlight, it is more of a light gray, in normal light it is more a standard gray, like the 02 graphite. In overcast or dusk conditions, it clearly looks gun metal blue. The different shades are very noticable under different lighting conditions.

Cant believe I left Slate out. IMO, all of the greys that have been on the Viper changed color SOME, especially Steel Grey.

I would tend to agree with you Austin which is why the color codes would truly be the answer. I've heard people say the 2009 graphite is the same as the 2002 which may be true but that also can be just a generic assumption. W/out looking at the codes you really can't say they're the exact same.

Boy, that slate sure is pretty.....(as well as the car!) I am surprised at how few cars were made in this color. It is now my second favorite to Steel grey, almost a tie.:2tu:

Here's the info. you're looking for:

- Viper Steel Gray Metallic (PS6) - 2000
- Viper Slate Crystal Pearl (PAP)- 2006
- Graphite Metallic (PDR) - 2002 and 2009

There were 31 "Pearl Slate Crystal" Vipers produced in 2006. I will try and find the stats to check on Verts. I'm know there in this computer...

What year are you referring to for "113 total"?

There were 113 verts made total, and 31 coupes made total, for a grand total of 144. We know how many coupes were striped, but do not know how many (if any) verts were striped?
