Well, Ive got the itch to give the snake some more power. The car is a 2002 "creampuff" with smooth tubes and corsa exhaust. I was wondering how much power I would gain from headers and Hi-flow cats. I would also like opinions as to which brand makes the best headers and cats.

Depends on the year, but the "creampuffs" usually don't see large gains from the header mods. I would say the combo of adding headers and high flow cats would yield 20-30 RWHP. On pre creamy cars, you could expect 40 RWHP.

yes, anywhere from 35-40 hp gain, i think the belanger headers are PERFECT, the borla is great also, but they are insane loud, we carry all belanger exhaust parts with the lowest price, e-mail us for the quote..thanks

I agree I think B&B are the best header/exhaust package.

B&B does claim 33 RWHP and 29 RWTQ from their headers.

I love my Belanger headers, CATs and catback! Sounds awesome. I know, I know it's very subjective. As far as power gains. The whole system yielded roughly 35rwhp on my 2001 creampuff.

If you are looking to perk up the seat-of-the-pants "feel", 3.33 / 3.45 / 3.54 gears are the very best bang for the buck.

Been there...

Do the "Creampuff" years cover the '01? I have an ACR and I heard the estimated horsepower is 460 at the crank. If this is a "creampuff" year, is that 460 over rated?

Creampuff has nothing to do with stock power, It's the milder cam and cast pistons that give it the name. Don't worry too much, if you know how to drive, you will be ok. :2tu:

well i know of a local 01 gts that made 407rwhp bone stock
after Belanger headers and Belanger cat back with no cats some filters and reprogram ecu, poor thing made 412 rwhp, they added a 200 shot and 560 rwhp , 1/4 time 12:20@120mph :-(
now another friend had a 2000 gts and with paper tags bone stock went 12:20@120
are the 01 02 cams that small ?
