I'm looking into changing the rear gears to a better ratio for the street. For those of you who have gone thru this, what ratio did you choose and was it worth it? Also, how much should I expect to pay?

I was debating between 3.55 and 3.45's. I already have traction issues with the Pilots and was trying not to loose whatever performance edge I gained by just spinning the tires.

What kind of HP/TQ you running. This will make a big difference on what gears you should run. Street use, track, drag?

I changed to the 3.55 and really like the gear. You will have to shift out of 1st gear at a little lower speed. Really turned my Viper on and 6th gear is much better. A dodge dealer installed mine for 860.00

I am having this done this week by DC Performance. (355's)
I was advise to also swap out the rear end to a Quaife so you may want to check into this.

How much does the Quaife run installed?

How about the 3.33's?

Did they recommend changing the half shafts, or is that just for the very high HP cars? I assume that if you are going to change gear ratios, then that would be the perfect time to do the rearend swap to the Quaife as it probably requires the same procedures.
