I have a 2001 RT10 that is idling high when it’s warmed up and takes a little longer to go down to normal idle RPMs. Suspect a vacuum leak. Is the smoke test the best way to find the leak and what is the best place (places) to inject the smoke, vacuum lines, intake manifold? Do I need to worry about the MAF sensor?

Do a visual check of the intake gaskets and see if they are deformed. Put a scanner on the car and check your idle motor steps, if they are close to zero, you could have a
vacuum leak. Look at your TPS voltage at idle and make sure its under 1 .95v (usually about .78) and back to the same voltage when you close the throttle. You could have a bad TPS or TPS ground or a sticky idle control valve. Hope this helps.
